Welcome to RaboScore


RaboScore tracks the growing buzz of the RaboDirect PRO12 on Twitter. It listens for all tweets about the competition to award points and rank the best content. These points help increase your RaboScore from 1 and 100. The most devoted fans have higher RaboScores. You can check your RaboScore by entering your Twitter username into the #RaboPRO12 Leaderboard or select the RaboScore of another fan to view their full profile.

The RaboScore Live Stream

The RaboScore Live Stream displays the most recent tweets from top fans and the competition. It uses intelligent social curation to find the best new content in real-time. Go to the Live Stream during each match to get the latest updates, photos and insights from your fellow supporters.

The RaboScore of each fan is displayed beside their tweet. The most devoted fans have a high RaboScore. Fans that only tweet occasionally have a lower RaboScore. The highest RaboScore possible is 100 and this fan is ranked 1st place on the #RaboPRO12 Leaderboard. You can select a RaboScore to view the fan’s complete profile.

RaboScore profiles show all relevant tweets from this fan that contributed to their score. RaboScore also knows how many tweets were sent with the #RaboPRO12 hashtag, included club mentions, were sent during matches and directly from within the stadium. The profile also shows how many retweets and RTs this fan received. You may want to follow the most passionate fans on Twitter. Simply click the Follow button next to the fan’s name.

RaboScore is enhanced with data about the competition (including fixtures and stadium locations) to provide the best experience for fans. When a fan adds their location to a tweet sent from within a stadium RaboScore displays the name of the stadium with their tweet. This allows any fan to join conversations with fellow supporters experiencing the action live.

Photos are displayed alongside tweets in the Live Stream. RaboScore awards more points to photos to encourage every fan to share their experience from their home to the pub and the stadium.

How does RaboScore work?

RaboScore ranks fans based on the quality of their tweets about the competition. Many different attributes are analyzed, including tweets during a match, tweets with photos, retweets and more. Each tweet that includes the #RaboPRO12 hashtag is awarded bonus points.

The tweet below from @andrewmccourt mentions Ulster and includes a photo from his iPhone during the match. The tweet was also retweeted. This tweet would have a high RaboScore rank and help increase Andrew’s RaboScore.

Meet Graham @grahamwa. Graham attended the Ospreys v Warriors match on March 2nd. He sent several tweets from within Liberty Stadium. This tweet below mentions both Ospreys &  Warriors and has the location tagged within Liberty Stadium from Graham’s mobile.

Increase your points with each tweet by including the #RaboPRO12 hashtag. Adding #RaboPRO12 to your tweet will help increase your RaboScore and the appearance of your tweets in the RaboScore Live Stream.

The #RaboPRO12 Leaderboard

The #RaboPRO12 Leaderboard ranks the twelve most passionate fans who have the highest RaboScore. The most recent RaboDirect PRO12 tweets from these fans are also displayed. To learn more about how a fan achieved their high rank on the leaderboard select the fan’s score to open their full profile.

Check your ranking to see how you stack up against other fans. Simply enter your Twitter username into the field and click “Go”. Your personal fan profile will appear to reveal your RaboScore and rank. If your RaboScore is not found then you probably haven’t tweeted about the RaboDirect PRO12 recently. Try sending some tweets with the #RaboPRO12 hashtag and check back soon. RaboScores for each fan are recalculated every few minutes.

Top Clubs

The Top Clubs bar chart displays which clubs in the RaboDirect PRO12 have the most buzz on Twitter. Each bar measures the total number of tweets that mention the club. Try clicking the bars to display the top 3 fans of the club. Fans are ranked based on the number of tweets sent that mention a particular club. You can click the fan’s Twitter username to view their RaboScore profile.

The #RaboPRO12 Word Cloud

RaboScore tracks tens of thousands of tweets about the RaboDirect PRO12. Each word from these tweets is analyzed individually. The frequency of the words used across all tweets is indicated by its size relative to other words within the Word Cloud. Large words are used very frequently in tweets and smaller words less frequently. For example, “PRO12” and “Match” are common words but “Kick” and “Luck” are much less common. The size of club names are also an indication of how often each club is mentioned in tweets on Twitter.
